Not only are we celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776, but we are also celebrating the history of Hancock County, Indiana. Afterall, Hancock County was formed in 1828 and was named after John Hancock the President of the Second Continental Congress. John Hancock's signature is the largest at the bottom of the Declaration of Independence.
